NYT has a very interesting interactive map of 
the unemployment rate in the US ,by county. Several Florida counties are getting hit pretty badly (note: the national average is 8.5%):
- St. Lucie 12%
- Lee - 11.5%
- Charlotte - 11%
- Indian River - 10.8%
- Okeechobee - 10.7%
- Hendry - 10.7%
